The 2026 NFL Draft is a week away, player evaluations are complete and teams’ draft boards have been set. So, it’s time for a Detroit Lions 7-round mock, with trades. This will be a predictive mock based purely on gut feeling in what feels like the hardest year for predictions in a long time, outside of the first overall pick of course.   The Lions still have holes to fill on both sides of the ball, that’s what I’ve tried to do with this mock. I love this safety class; it has some serious depth, not just role players but guys who I believe can become solid NFL starters. I will also include players I have listed as slot defenders. The interior defensive line class looked so promising before the college season and although most of the top guys had subpar seasons for various reasons, I think there is some real depth and especially if you’re looking to fill a specific role.
